The Falcons completed their fall season, competing in the November 2-4 SPC Tournament. Four runners earned medals in the 3A SPC Championship on Saturday, November 4: Chloe Nelson ’27 placed second overall in the girls race, and Ty Williams ’27, Chuy Orozco ’25 and Rising Huckaby ’24 placed in the top 10. 

Cross Country

Boys cross country finished second overall, and the girls finished fourth. Nelson earned second place in the girls field of 43 runners (20:07.60); Murphy Hoefer ’25 (13th) and Emmy Strathmeyer ’27 (16th) finished in the top 20. Williams (8th, 18:07.25), Orozco (9th, 18:10.40) and Huckaby (10th, 18:13.00) all medaled, and Dario Rosas ’25 (12th) finished in the top 20. 

Field Hockey

The Falcons finished in third, going 2-1 in the tournament. They beat Holland Hall (3-1) on Thursday, November 2, lost to the eventual champion in the semifinals on November 3, and won in overtime against Episcopal School of Dallas (1-0) on Saturday, November 4. 

Boys Volleyball

The boys team finished in fifth place. The Falcons beat Kinkaid (3-1) on November 2 but fell to eventual runner-up, St Mark’s, on November 3.  FWCD lost to TVS in the November 4 game.

Girls Volleyball

FWCD drew the eventual tournament runner-up, Houston Christian, in the first round, falling in straight sets. On Friday, November 3, they took a set off of St. Andrew’s Episcopal School but lost to the Highlanders (3-1).
