TPS Announces Selections for 2026 International Student Competition

Emelie Barganier ’28, Isabel Fenyes ’28, Reese Kavanaugh ’30, Brodie McCullough ’27, Victoria Oldham ’31, Mason Tuomey ’27 and Avery Williams ’27 earned recognition from the Texas Photographic Society in the 2026 International Student Photography Contest. This is Williams’ second year being recognized by the TPS. She earned an Honorable Mention in the Architecture category.
McCullough earned second place in the Sports/Action category for Celebration, and Oldham received an Honorable Mention for Concentration. In the Documentary/Photojournalism category, Barganier and Tuomey earned Honorable Mentions for Closet and Waffle House, respectively. Kavanaugh received an Honorable Mention for Golden Hour in the Landscape category. In the Still Life category, Honorable Mentions were awarded to Williams for Tulip Turning, Fenyes for Heart Break and Barganier for Egg & Fork.
“I love to see our students recognized for their work, creativity and vision in a variety of photographic styles,” Upper School Photography Teacher Emily Arnold said. “I am thrilled that Mrs. [Valorie] Flaherty and Mr. [Owen] Curtsinger also encouraged their students to submit entries into the contest this year.”
