Fort Worth Country Day’s chapter of the National Junior Honor Society (NJHS) hosted its Induction Ceremony on Tuesday, April 21. Four eighth grade, four seventh grade and 68 sixth grade candidates joined the organization, which includes 104 seventh and eighth grade members who were previously inducted. To be inducted into NJHS, students are invited and must maintain a minimum GPA requirement, demonstrate character, leadership and citizenship by maintaining grades in the level 1 or 2 level and complete six hours of service each semester.

New members are sixth graders Sophia Abercrombie, Allie Grace Anderson, Annie Berkes, Natalie Bevan, Linus Blake, Virginia Bourgeois, Porter Cammack, Cullen Christopher, Rhett Coleman, Clarisa Coscia, Kolt Creel, Gavin Davis, Matthew De La Paz, Oliver Dickerson, Serena Dollahite, Zaid Farr, Posey French, Milo Green, Ledger Halpern, Grey Hansen, Clara Hatem, Kit Holmsten, McGwire Humble, Miller Humble, Austin Knuckley, Nicklaus Knuckley, Sheridan Koerth, Teddy Kurkjian, Will Landreth, Ben Leonard, George Louden, Louise Manuel, McCoy Mathews, Nicholas McClanahan, Brynn McCord, Charlie Miles, Harriet Mills, Emily More, Van Nguyen, Parker Ortowski, Finley Packer, Ida Cate Parsons, Henry Pettibon, Weston Pinckard, Madelyn Poorter, Foster Prigel, Patrick Quijada, Emma Claire Redus, Evelyn Regan, Eli Robnett, Isaac Rohani, Ishana Samart, EV Sanders, Leighton Schleider, Wyatt Shelton, Gray Shropshire, Kennedy Slataper, Miranda Sosa, Lucy Sparks, Jack Stein, Reed Stine, Rafa Sudan, Nikoletta Szmigiel, Sam Tatum, Andy Vaughn, Gabriella Vecino, Bailey Wells and Susie Wright; seventh graders Reese Bohac, Tristan Gordon, Jody Lipscomb and Gabriella Serralta; and eighth graders Shepherd Hughes, Andrew Kim, Blake Sloan and Bonnie Sloan.

“We welcomed 76 new members to the FWCD chapter of National Junior Honor Society,” said Victoria Bergman, NJHS Co-Sponsor. “These students join an elite group of current members who are working to improve the world around them, guided by the five pillars of NJHS. A focus on scholarship, service, leadership, character and citizenship closely aligns with the core values at FWCD. We look forward to the difference these new members will make.”
