Beginning in 2021, the College Board National Recognition Programs honor students for excellence in the classroom and on College Board assessments, including the PSAT and/or AP Exams. The College Board National Recognition Awards acknowledged nine FWCD juniors and seniors. They are: 

National African American Recognition Award

Rising Huckaby ’24 

Jordan Jones ’25 

Alyssa Rollings ’25 

National Hispanic Recognition Award

Ginny Caceres ’24

Lucas Callahan ’25 

Alexis Del Pozzo ’25

Sofia Garcia ’25

National Indigenous Award

“This group of students exemplifies FWCD’s commitment to the 3 A’s,” said Head of Upper School Peggy Wakeland. Among them are several juniors who embody a well-rounded approach to their education, actively engaging in both arts and athletics. Additionally, our two dedicated seniors continue to excel in the varsity sports while shouldering a demanding academic workload.” 

“I am pleased that the College Board National Recognition Programs exist to honor the diversity represented in this academically talented group of students and connect them with colleges and universities for possible scholarship opportunities,” said Kristin Larsen, Director of College Counseling.
