Class of 2025 By the Numbers

The 90 members of Fort Worth Country Day’s Class of 2025 submitted 755 applications to 201 colleges and universities and were accepted at 151 of them. They have enrolled at 38 different institutions across the United States and internationally. To date, 49% of the class will attend out-of-state colleges and universities. Forty-eight percent of the class will attend Texas colleges and universities. Currently, 3% represents three seniors who are either undecided about their college enrollment choice or are pursuing professional sports.
The University of Texas at Austin is the highest-enrolling institution this year with 12 soon-to-be Longhorns. In second place is Texas Christian University with 10 Horned Frogs, followed by the University of Oklahoma with its nine Sooners. Five students will become Texas A&M University Aggies. Rounding out the “Top Five” institutions, and tied for fifth-place, are Southern Methodist University's four Mustangs and the University of South Carolina’s four Gamecocks.
Choosing an additional 32 different institutions suggests that Falcons continue to stretch their wings and attend a variety of colleges and universities. They will join six campus communities for the first time in at least 20 or more years, including Dordt University (Iowa), Grand Canyon University (Arizona), King’s College London (United Kingdom), Ohio Wesleyan University (Ohio), Rutgers University-Newark (New Jersey) and Southwestern College (Kansas).
Three seniors were admitted to Ivy League institutions, including Dartmouth College (2) and Cornell University. This fall, a total of nine Falcons from the classes of 2022-25 will attend five of the eight Ivies, including Cornell University (2), Dartmouth College (3), Harvard University (2), the University of Pennsylvania, and Yale University.
Two seniors, Corbin Harrell and Priscilla Lambis, are taking their talents to TCU and Hendrix College, respectively, to continue their fine arts educations. Harrell will major in theatre, while Lambis will major in musical theatre.
Six seniors will participate in collegiate athletics at their respective institutions, which include Caroline King at Davidson College (North Carolina) playing field hockey; Mason Harper at Dordt University playing golf; Ellie Cady at Ohio Wesleyan University swimming; Zachary Pakis at Rutgers University-Newark playing volleyball; Dario Rosas at Southwestern College playing soccer; and Vivian Richey at UT Austin making the pom squad. Additionally, upon graduation, Joseph Brunson will begin his professional jiu-jitsu career with Team Mohler.
Seventy-seven of the 90 seniors were awarded more than $11.3 million in merit-based scholarships and awards (86% of the class). Forty-four of these students will attend colleges and universities where they will utilize more than $2.4 million.
