Through its many fundraisers during the 2021-22 academic year, FWCD’s Parent Faculty Association (PFA) raised $187,000 this year and had $89,000 roll over from the previous two years. The PFA is allocating $200,000 to the back to the School.

  1. Bleachers/awnings for the two athletic fields adjacent to the football field (estimated cost: $100,000). There will be two bleacher/awning setups per field: one for visitors, one for the home team, both with gravel underneath and wood to outline them.
  2. Portable bathroom for the baseball field (estimated cost $58,000). This facility will also be used on Field Day, 7 v 7 football, and any other event that would lend itself to people being on that side of the campus.
  3. Two soccer goals for the Lower School playground (estimated cost $900).
  4. Six teakwood benches (approximate cost: $12,000). The benches will be placed outside the Upper School Science Building and the Sanford Arts Wing ballet classrooms.
  5. Technology monitor for the Peter A. Schwartz Administration Conference Room (approximate cost: $2,500). The monitor will facilitate presentations.
  6. Portable pro panels for art displays (estimated cost $4,000).
  7. Shelving for visual arts display in the of Sid W. Richardson Visual Arts Center (estimated cost $5,250).
  8. New electric sign marquee (estimated cost: $25,000) by the pond, just past the Bryant Irvin entrance.

“The PFA events knocked it out of the park this year,” said Pam Packer, PFA President. “I am so proud to be part of this amazing group of volunteers who truly love our school. My heartfelt thank you goes out to each and every person who has offered their help to the PFA over the past two years.”
