What are regular school hours?
Junior Kindergarten: 8:10 a.m.-3:10 p.m. (Please note: Junior kindergarten has a noon dismissal August 26-29. First full day of junior kindergarten is Tuesday, September 2.)
Kindergarten/Lower School: 8:10 a.m.-3:10 p.m. (Please note: Kindergarten and Lower School have a noon dismissal on August 26); kindergarten dismisses at noon from August 27-29. The first full day of kindergarten is Tuesday, September 2.)
Middle School: 8:05 a.m.-3:20 p.m. (grades 5-6); 8:05 a.m.-3:45/4 p.m. (grades 7-8).
Upper School: 8:45 a.m.-3:45 p.m.
When do students learn about their teachers and schedules?
Lower School class rosters will go live on the MyFWCD Portal on Tuesday, August 19. Remember to mark your calendars for Meet the Teacher on Friday, August 22 (Junior Kindergarten, 8:30-9:15 a.m; Kindergarten, 9-10:30 a.m.; and grades 1-4, 10:30-11 a.m.)
Middle School schedules will be live in the MyFWCD Portal on Friday, August 15.
Upper School schedules are live in the MyFWCD Portal.
Where can I find school supply lists?
Lower School: Supplies for grades JK-4 are built into the FWCD tuition.
Middle School: Supply lists for grades 6-8 are located on the Middle School BTS page, along with other helpful information. Fifth graders received an email titled How to Prepare for Fifth Grade with information about school supplies.
Upper School: Supply lists for grades 9-12 are determined by each instructor. Students typically learn what they need on the first day of school.
Where do I purchase textbooks?
Students in grades 5-12 order textbooks through BNC K-12, FWCD’s textbook vendor. Free shipping on book orders of $99 or more runs through August 18. Read the original communication for authorization code information. If you have textbook questions, contact your respective division office. Order your books online at bnck-12.com/fwcd.
Where can I purchase FWCD uniforms?
For gently used uniforms, check out FWCD’s Forever Plaid Resale Shop Sale in the Patton Field House on Saturday, August 16, from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. The Campus Store (located in the Round Gym) will be open 10 a.m.-2 p.m. so you can purchase PE uniforms.
FlynnO’Hara is FWCD’s new uniform provider. You can make purchases online at flynnohara.com or in their store (363 Carroll Street, Fort Worth, TX 76107). The uniform code is 229. Check out this cheat sheet broken down by grade.
The store will be open on Monday, August 18 from 10 a.m.-4 p..m. Starting Tuesday, August 19, the store is open 8 a.m.-4 p.m. for the academic year.
Does FWCD offer bus service?
FWCD is pleased to offer daily morning bus transportation for students who live in the west Fort Worth and Colleyville areas. Bus transportation is offered for morning pick-ups only; afternoon bus service is not available. Detailed information is available at fwcd.org/bus.
