Get creative in Fort Wonder's Pottery course. Individuals 18 and over are welcome to register. (Please note: Both pottery sessions offer the same experience; there is no need to take Session I before Session II).
Pottery: Clay Arts and Wheel-Throwing (for ages 18 and over)
Session I: June 3-7 | 9-11 a.m.
Session II: June 10-14 | 9-11 a.m.
This wheel-throwing pottery class, taught by Potter Jerry B. Mahle, is for individuals 18 and over. Mr. Mahle has worked with clay for more than 35 years and has taught ceramics at FWCD for 25 years. Class size is small, with a ratio of 11:1 for five days of intensive instruction in the clay arts and wheel throwing. All supplies, clay, glazes, tools, etc., are provided for each student. Please wear tennis shoes, no flip-flops. Mr. Mahle creates an educational environment that is equally beneficial and powerful for beginners through experienced students. Location: Sid W.
