Over the summer, Alexis Rollings ’23 was recognized as a 2022 Borlaug Scholar by the World Food Prize Foundation for her extensive research on soil degradation in South Africa. She was also chosen to serve as a delegate for the 2022 Global Youth Institute. The GYI is a weeklong academic conference focused on youth efforts to address global food security issues. This year’s GYI is set for October 16-21. Students will have the opportunity to present their research, engage with their peers, and learn from leaders on issues related to food security and sustainability.
