Service Learning Breakthrough

On a Saturday in October, 20 FWCD students in grades 8-12 volunteered to give campus tours to Breakthrough Fort Worth seventh and eighth graders during a Breakthrough Super Saturday event. FWCD students shared facts about the Bass Upper School and FWCD’s dedication to the 3A’s, in addition to sharing their own favorite School memories, favorite food from the Fischer Dining Pavilion, and the arts and athletics they participate in.

The goal of this tour was to provide information about the campus that is home to the BTFW program and to share FWCD’s commitment to a college-preparatory experience.
