Ride-A-Thon Donation Period Extended Until May 27

Many routines, traditions and day-to-day activities have been disrupted by COVID-19, but FWCD's fifth-graders did not let it stop them from participating in their signature community service event.
While the Class of 2027 could not gather for the traditional Ride-A-Thon, they found creative ways to complete laps on May 14 to raise funds for the Boys and Girls Clubs of Greater Tarrant County. Driveways, neighborhood streets and city trails provided an opportunity for students to be active with bikes, scooters, roller blades and even a pogo stick!
Friends and family sponsored the students, donating online to raise money for The Boys and Girls Clubs of Greater Tarrant County as the organization continues to provide much-needed services to club members during this time. They have collected nearly $2,500 so far and are extending the donation period through Wednesday, May 27.
