New Falcon Unveiled at Convocation

The entire student, faculty and staff community gathered together in the Sid W. Richardson Round Gym for Falcon House Convocation. While last year’s Convocation brought us Blondie, a live falcon, this year’s focus was on a different sort of falcon: the FWCD Falcon mascot.

As the community filled the gym in their color House shirts, music was blaring, smiles were contagious, and all eyes were on the senior class, who were walking in with their kindergarten buddies. Stephanie Cook ’20, Student Body Vice President, welcomed everyone to the event with a boisterous “Happy New Year!,” and then called out Katie Bynum ’20, Senior Class President; Paloma Casanova ’21, Junior Class President; and Joaquin Castro-Balbi ’22, Sophomore Class President, to lead their quads (F, W, C and D) in a cheer. As always, the Convocation included the Pledge of Allegiance and the Alma Mater. Read more at Falcon House Convocation.
