Commencement Ceremony

Class of 2021 Commencement Exercises
On Friday, May 14, Fort Worth Country Day’s 86 seniors graduated at the 2021 commencement ceremony, which took place at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary MacGorman Auditorium.

Paloma Casanova, Valedictorian

Paloma Casanova joined the Fort Worth Country Day family in fifth grade and immersed herself in the whole school experience from the start. She will attend Yale University in the fall and plans to pursue the pre-med track with a concentration in neuroscience and psychology.

A member of FWCD’s chapter of Cum Laude since her junior year, Casanova was named a National Hispanic Scholar in the fall by the College Board National Recognition Program and also was named a Morehead-Cain Scholar, FWCD’s first since 2013. Read More

Andrew Nober, Salutatorian

An FWCD Original, Andrew Nober will attend Harvard University in the fall. He plans to enter as undecided but is leaning toward majoring in government. “I have always been most excited by my history and English classes at Country Day,” he shared. As for his Class of 2021 peers, Andrew loves that they are tight-knit and take care of one another.

A National Merit Scholar and a member of FWCD’s chapter of Cum Laude since junior year, Andrew embraced FWCD’s time-honored 3 A’s. He excelled in academically rigorous classes, cross country and track, and in band (through 10th grade), playing the euphonium. Read More
