Fort Wonder and Falcon Sports Camps Canceled through July 3, 2020

Director of Auxiliary Programs
Michael Carmody released a letter on April 23, stating that Fort Wonder and Falcon Sports Camps would be canceled through July 3, 2020, as a result of the challenges related to COVID-19 and safety precautions. A letter was emailed to families who have already completed their online registration for at least one summer camp at FWCD in 2020. “The safety of our camp community is paramount in the construction and execution of all of our Fort Wonder Summer Camps, and our focus on proactive safety measures is a significant component in our recipe for the creation of unforgettable summer experiences. Carmody said. “From our remarkable camper-to-staff ratios to our detailed Car Line procedure, to our wristbands for campers with life-threatening conditions, to our investment in on-site health administrators, we devote a tremendous amount of time, thought and resources to ensure the safety of all members of our camp community. We take great pride in knowing that we build an environment where parents and guardians feel confident that their children are engaged in programs that prioritize safety above everything else.” Read the full announcement
