Super Saturdays

Super Saturdays are learning sessions hosted at Fort Worth Country Day once a month. Each session includes a morning academic component, some with a related enrichment experience in the afternoon.
Designed to meet the reasoning and leadership needs of the students, some academic components have included:
  • Seminar classes on the life and major events of President John F. Kennedy
  • Using topics from Pre-Algebra and Algebra to create a marketing plan
  • Planning a cross country road trip and implementing math topics to determine costs
  • Creating and presenting original pieces of writing
Enrichment experiences have included visits to area college campuses, the Sixth Floor Museum in Dallas, the Fort Worth Zoo, local art museums, and college activities like TCU football games.

Academic Tutoring

Tutoring is available during the school year and arranged as needed. Students requiring assistance to meet Breakthrough’s minimum grade requirements will be assigned as needs are determined. Students may also request additional coaching in specific subjects and every effort will be made to accommodate those needs. We offer a drop-in tutorial program each Monday after school from 5-7 p.m.
