Boys Cross Country Finishes First in Last Two Meets

Boys cross country finished first in their last two meets. On Saturday, September 8, the team competed at the Parker County Cross Country Championships. The 5K race was run at the Canyon West Golf Course in Weatherford. The boys team won the entire meet by 10 points. Henry Lynn ’21 placed first overall with five additional FWCD runners placing in the top 20: Sawyer Parker ’22 (6th), Andrew Nober ’21 (11th), Diego Casanova '19 (15th), J.R. Churchill ’21 (18th) and Joaquin Castro-Balbi ’22 (19th).
 
On Saturday, September 15, the boys finished first at the THESA Fall Festival, winning by 21 points. The 4K race was hosted at Harvest Christian Academy in Watauga. Again, six runners placed in the top 20, Lynn (2nd), Parker (5th), Nober (6th), Castro-Balbi (7th), Churchill (13th) and Campbell Robinson ’19 (19th).
