Christina Kelly '18 Named Dale Hansen Scholar Athlete

Tune in to WFAA Channel 8 on Sunday, October 22, at 10:35 p.m. to see Christina Kelly '18 as she is recognized as the Dale Hansen Scholar Athlete of the Week.
 
A three-sport athlete (field hockey, soccer and tennis), Christina earned the Jimmy D. Brown Award, which recognizes a female student in the junior class who excels both as a student and an athlete and who exemplifies a dedication to serving others at her school and in the broader community. She is a Co-President of the Breakthrough Boutique and Editor-in-Chief of the Falcon Quill. A member of the Cum Laude Society, Christina received FWCD’s Math and Science Award and Sociedad Honoraria Hispanic designation for maintaining a 92 average or above in Spanish. Christina is a member of Mu Alpha Theta, a national high school math honor society dedicated to inspiring an interest in math and developing stronger scholarship in the subject. As a junior, she was the organization’s Service Chair. Outside of school, she has taken piano lessons every week since second grade, tennis lessons since fifth grade and she started her own photography business.
