Boys’ Soccer Honored with NSCAA Team Ethics and Sportsmanship Award

The FWCD varsity boys’ soccer team was honored by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) with the Team Ethics and Sportsmanship Award. Head of School Eric Lombardi and Soccer Program Director/Head Coach Mike Vincent presented the award at Upper School announcements earlier in May. This honor recognizes high school teams that have received zero Red Cards and a minimal number of Yellow Cards over their entire season. The FWCD team met that criteria and, in doing so, was recognized for their good sportsmanship, discipline and team ethics. "The NSCAA was established in 1941 and is now the largest soccer coaches' organization in the world,” Vincent said, “so this is a great honor for our team and the School. I am very proud of them!"
