PFA Falcon Wings

FWCD’s Parent Faculty Association honored Rachael Kauffmann (mother of Piper ’29) with the Falcon Wings honor. Falcon Wings recognize PFA volunteers, FWCD teachers or staff who soar above and beyond the call of duty to enhance PFA programs or events, or have improved the greater FWCD community by their dedication and enthusiasm.
As a new member of the Fort Worth Country Day family, Rachael started on the Bingo Committee as a volunteer wanting to get involved at the School. She was asked to step in and help just a month before the Western Bingo event when there was an opening for the huge job of registration. Registration is a job that is usually handled by a committee member having served many years or someone with experience with the event. Rachael worked tirelessly to find out what needed to be done for the job and how to prepare all the packets for the event. Even though Rachael had never been to Bingo herself, she did not shy away from stepping in and helping when the committee needed registration assistance. Rachael took off work the day of Bingo to complete all the packets and worked many evenings after work to get ready for the big night. Rachael is a wonderful addition to the Fort Worth Country Day family. How very lucky we are to have such a hardworking, positive parent in our community!
