Bluebonnet Breakfast

Thirty Lower and Middle School readers are Bluebonnet book experts after reading at least 10 titles from the 2016-17 Texas Bluebonnet Reading list. This was the first year that fifth-graders were invited to join the challenge.

Head Librarian Tammy Wolford and Middle School Librarian Kim Gardner celebrated the students’ accomplishments by preparing a fun breakfast. The tables were decorated in Bluebonnet blue, and many blue foods were served, including, blueberry Pop-tarts; blueberry muffins; and blueberry waffles topped off with blueberry syrup, fresh blueberries and whipped cream. Each student was given a gift bag packed with blue treats to take with them.
