Giving

Breakthrough Fort Worth is hosted by Fort Worth Country Day and fully supported by contributions designated to the program. The generosity of friends and champions like you make it possible for us to help academically strong youth from underrepresented backgrounds envision their future with college goals and gain the intellectual and social enrichment they need to achieve them. Together, we make dreams happen for them.

As a dual benefit, your support ensures a quality-rich teaching placement for potential up and coming educators. Named one of Princeton Review’s Top Ten Internships, the program’s unique students-teaching-students model enables motivated high school and college students to gain a highly interactive experience in the joys and challenges of teaching. Consistently, more than 70 percent of Breakthrough teaching fellows pursue careers in education; and many share that their program experience influenced or solidified their choice to be educators or professionals in pursuit of educational justice. Thus, their Breakthrough experience boosts our nation’s teaching pool with quality educators who desire to make a difference for underserved youth.
