  • Trey Blair Named Next Head of Lower School

    Head of School Eric Lombardi announced Wednesday, December 13, that Trey Blair will be Fort Worth Country Day’s next Head of Lower School. Blair’s appointment follows a comprehensive national search. He succeeds Shari Lincoln, who returned to the Middle School classroom this academic year after serving as Lower School Head from 2007-17. Blair had been acting as Interim Head of Lower School since May 2017.

  • Brian Phelps Named FWCD's Next Athletic Director

    Head of School Eric Lombardi announced Thursday that Brian Phelps will be Fort Worth Country Day’s next Athletic Director. Phelps’s appointment follows a comprehensive national search for FWCD’s eighth Athletic Director. He succeeds Frank Gendusa, the School’s Athletic Director since 2007.

  • Patricia Polacco Visits FWCD

    Renowned author Patricia Polacco spent the day on the Fort Worth Country Day campus on November 2, gifting us with a storytelling voice like no other. Students were mesmerized as she shared tidbits about her family, stories of Babushka (her grandmother), Natasha, and her rotten, redheaded older brother. One of the most exciting moments was when she asked the students if they’d like to see the Keeping Quilt.

  • Grandparents' Day

    The blessing of grandparents was the theme of Thursday and Friday, November 16 and 17, as Fort Worth Country Day celebrated Grandparents’ and Grandfriends’ Day. The Plight of the Turkey; the Fourth-Grade Modern Language and Music Program; activities related to music, PE and design thinking; and classroom tours are just some of what the students shared with their grandparents and grandfriends throughout the morning. Publications

Fort Worth Country Day creates a variety of internal and external publications pieces throughout the year, including the School’s signature piece, Falconer, a bi-annual magazine, which is mailed to all alumni, current and past parents, former and current Trustees, grandparents, and faculty and staff. Magazines are mailed each year in December/January and May/June. Other publications include the weekly FWCD Update eNewsletter for current parents; a quarterly past parents eNewsletter; a quarterly Board of Trustees eNewsletter and a quarterly athletics newsletter.
