Peri Huling Earns Art Honors

Junior painting and drawing student Peri Huling ’19 had a work of art (her collage of a wolf) accepted into the 2018 Betsy Price Art Show – a juried art show for Fort Worth high school students that is hosted by Fort Works Art.
Huling’s teacher, Lauren Cunningham, shared that this year’s Betsy Price Art Show was extremely competitive this year. Only 40 artworks were chosen form over 600 submissions. “That is a 6.5 percent acceptance rate,” Cunningham said. “Most Ivy League colleges aren't that selective!”
The juror for the show was Andrew Walker, the Director of the Amon Carter Museum. On Saturday, May 12, Huling and her parents attended the award ceremony at Fort Works Art.
