Important Dates and Deadlines

  • Feb. 6/ Feb. 18, 2020 -  Information Evening for Students & Families (6 pm at Fort Worth Country Day)
  • Feb. 7 / Mar. 4, 2020 - Applications are due!!!
  • March 21, 2020 - Interview Day (9am-4pm, at Fort Worth Country Day – Upper School) 
  • March 23, 2020 - Make-up Interview Day (if unable to attend March 23rd)
  • Third week of April - Breakthrough will mail decision letters to your family

Where do I turn in my application?

Ask your school’s academic coordinator or counselor where it should go! Most schools will have a drop-off point in the office or in a teacher’s classroom.

Must be received by our office on or before March 2nd.  
  • All applicants are required to submit a written application, a parent/guardian statement, a teacher recommendation letter, standardized test scores and grades.
  • The student admission committee (made up of alumni, former summer teachers, school-year program teachers, tutors, and other volunteers) review student applications throughout February, March and April. Each student with a completed application is invited to a personal interview. Admission decisions are made at the end of April. Students will receive mailed notification of their status by early May.
