  • FWCD Senior is Dale Hansen Scholar Athlete

    ICYMI: Senior Elena Casement was recognized as a Dale Hansen Scholar Athlete. Casement is an FWCD Original and has been a Stansbery Award winner (three-season athlete) all four years of high school. She was the captain of the field hockey and soccer teams and is currently captain of the softball team. Casement is planning to attend SMU to study business. Her segment aired on WFAA Channel 8 on Sunday, April 7.

  • Freshman Student-Athlete Honored with Founders Award

    Sawyer Parker ’22 received one of six Founders Awards, recognizing deserving student-athletes from across the state of Texas, during the 30th Christian Athlete of the Year awards banquet on March 10 at the Dallas/Fort Worth Airport Marriott in Irving, Texas. Congratulated by the evening’s master of ceremonies, Dr. Clyde E. Duncan, Jr., known as the voice of NCAA track and field and the “Clap Clap Man,” Parker also met Olympian Carl Lewis, who won nine Olympic gold medals and one Olympic silver medal during his remarkable track and field career.

  • Junior named to TABC All-State Team

    Kenzi Carter ’20 was named to the Texas Association of Basketball Coaches (TABC) All-State Team. TABC is a membership of more than 4,000 basketball coaches in the state of Texas. She was one of 20 athletes from across the state selected in the Large Private School category as a result of her stats from the 2018-19 basketball season. Her game averages this season were 17 points per game, 72 percent from the free throw line, 9 rebounds per game, 2.3 assists per game, 3.3 steals per game and 2 blocks per game.
