  • Testing and Supplemental Documents

    • Admission Testing
    Admission testing is required for grades 1 – 4 at Fort Worth Country Day.

    Students applying for first grade will take the Kaufman Test of Educational Achievement | Third Edition (KTEA™-3 Brief) and the Kaufman Brief Intelligence Test Second Edition (KBIT-2). These tests are individually administered and are a measure of achievement in reading, math, written and oral language and verbal and nonverbal ability. Once we receive your application, the Admission Office will contact you to schedule testing.

    Students applying for second through fourth grades will take the Independent School Entrance Exam (ISEE). The ISEE test is offered at FWCD on Saturday, February 5, 2022, at 8 a.m. ISEE registrations must be submitted by Monday, January 31, 2022. Students must register online at the ERB testing website. Need-based fee waivers are available upon request. When registering enter our school code 442519.

    • Classroom Teacher Recommendation
    Parents will be able to email the Classroom Teacher Recommendation directly to their child’s current teacher through our application provider, Ravenna, after November 1, 2021. The Recommendation is due to the Admission Office by February 25, 2022

    • Transcript
    Download and print the Transcript Request Form and give to your child's school registrar after January 1, 2022. Transcripts are due to the Admission Office by February 25, 2022.
  • Classroom Visit

    Lower School applicants are required to fulfill a full-day class visit in their current grade, which will include a developmental reading assessment. The Office of Admission will contact the applicant’s family to schedule this visit after the application is received.
