| Navigating the FWCD Web Site Welcome to the Navigation Hints page! There are three basic types of content navigation on the private sections of the FWCD web page.
PORTALS:
When you log on your default screen brings you to your own Portal page. The Portal displays dynamic news and announcements as well as academic content related to you or to your children. If you have more than one role at FWCD (for example you are a Faculty member and a Parent) you will have the option to view more than one Portal.
GROUPS:
Located on your Portal is the MY GROUPS channel. Groups are based on your affinities. For example, if you are a Parent, you will be in the Parent Group and a link to the Parent Group Page will appear in your MY GROUPS channel. You will also see tabs in your MY GROUPS channel that allow you to view your child's groups. Student groups include academic and athletic groups and are links to your child's academic class pages and athletic team pages. If you or your child are members of any Community Groups, they will also be linked from your MY GROUPS channel.
MASTER PAGES:
Master pages are viewed by clicking on the blue left-hand navigation. These pages allow you to search and view all school related information. There are master pages that allow you to search the school Calendar and the Directory. You can also search News, Curriculum and the Media gallery. The Assignments master page lets you see all assignments and homework. The Groups master page lets you search for any academic, athletic or community group whether you are a member or not. The Athletics master page lets you search every team.
